HELP - Kahn Wheels

Got a flat tyre - went to blow it up and there is some fancy inverted screw valve. Anyone know where I can get hold of an adapter to fit?? Been on the Kahn website and even their forum and there is nothing.

Doesn't seem like the most user-friendly idea I ever heard tbh!! :hyper:

Cheers

Rich

Try South West Tyres or someone like Pro Tyre. Do a search on yell.com for their numbers

Cheers guys.

Fas - cheers mate! Will ring Pete in the morning. Its possible he still has the one that was delivered with my wheels.

I have emailed Kahn so hopefully they'll send me out a replacement - just I need the car for work or it will be costing me 25 quid a day in taxis - which is less than ideal!!

Cheers

Rich

Im not 100% sure but a telephone call will sort it out and find out if it is there

Aslong as it gets you back on the road ;)

Fas, Peter has found your valve adapter as you suggested and is going to drop it off at mine today. I'll make sure you get it back. Thanks again mate! :D

oh dear ... just found out why it was low - pumped it up and could hear hissing . Turned the wheel and a big natty hole in it. Whatever was there has now gone, but left a nice big wound. Brand new tyres (19") as well - not cheap :nono: !!! Reckon I'll be able to get it repaired though as righ in middle of wheel.

Random one - I've got a brand new foot pump from halfords (double barrel jobbie) with analogue pressure gauge. I've also got Halfords top of range digital guage (12 months old but used only twice!). When footpump guage reads 38psi, digi guage reads about 30 . Which would you trust????

Wouldn't like to say.

Halfords arnt exactly known for quality and the digital gauge thats sat about for a year with a possible low power battery and maybe a perished internal diagphram which might not be much cop either.

Could try a new battery ;)

Having said that the halfords analogue (mechanical) dial could be deemed to be more reliable as it is a constant.

Get one of your mates to check it on theirs

Check it at a local garage and see what there pump says....I know forecourt pumps are notoriously crap but it might give you and idea.

HHHmmmmmm...in short....

DUNNO

Get a new digital gauge

Ive been of absoloutly no use on this thread :slap:

The beaty with those valves is that they look nice and flush and you don't get little scrotes nicking the caps for their BMX's. However, the maintenance is a PITA!

Hope you get it sorted Rich.
