Hi just got my first 300 and have a problem, hopefully someone on here will be able to help. When turning at slow speed while accelerating, such as out of a turning of a minor road to major road there as a severe vibration mainly from the rear of the car, there is no vibration if I do not accelerate round the corner, there is also no vibration during normal driving although the car does tend to drift to one side sometimes. Any help would be most appreciated, thanks.

Trying to subsribe, paypal doesnt seem to be working right.

It doesnt matter if its hot or cold the vibration is there when ever i turn a corner (slowly whilst accelerating) other then that its a smooth as anything only a light vib on the steering wheel at higher speed, (most likely wheel balancing) and the tendacy to drift slightly to one or the other side sometimes.

Im in the Gillingham.

like he said could be either. my cousins car got his vibration around 40mph but on along trip it goes but thats his propshaft ,a common problem ,im just down the road from you in teynham ,catch you around ,ps how long you had your zed

Hi,

Sorry to bring this back up 3 pages, I had some time so i checked a few things to find the vibration, wheel bearings seem fine all wheel nuts done up tight, after reading previous threads using the search option i decided to disable the HICAS. Took the car for a drive today the vibration seems to have gone from the rear but I can now feel it at the front, through the body of the car and steering wheel, again mainly on sharp turns at low speed when accelerating. The car also sways and drifts about a bit, anyone have any idea what it is?

Im planning to go get full tracking, wheel alignment, balancing etc at Elite near Daganham Essex, is this a good place to go or can someone reccomend a garage.

MATE i HAD SIMILAR THING, WENT AND GOT 4 WHEEL ALIGHNMENT AND TRACKING DONE, TURNED OUT IT WAS A WARPED TYRE AND SLIGHT BUCKLE ON WHEEL, SHOULD ONLY COST YOU ABOUT £35 IN ALL

mine was doing that, when i jacked up the drivers side wheel, and shoogled it about there was a bit of play left and right, i think its the track rod on the rear rack, but i havnt looked close as i didnt have time.

Sounds like a rear track rod arm, get subscribed, then give Mike at shout at MJP, he'll sort you a good deal.

cheers cheques in the post mate waiting for it to go through.will need one quick quick cos ive just put on new tires on the back
