hi guys am thinking of upgrading my ecu and was wondering what i need where to get and how much should i be paying also is it a job i could do myself or is it best to get someone to do it who knows what they r doing

There are a number of choices out there. Ryan @ Ztech recomends the JWT Ecu chip. I believe he can also supply (and fit).

Theres also Chris@getgreddy and DTA that I know of, I think for a chip alone you are looking at about £65 plus fitting. Chris I believe offers a service where you send your ecu and he sends one back already fitted.

if its the first time youve chipped, go for JWT and 1mm boost jets. you can get it all for easily under £100 and the results are well worth it! this combination is also quite 'safe' in that you wont be pushing the turbos too far and you wont be altering the fuelling too much.
