Since I wasn't able to get the alloys I really wanted :( I've been on the hunt for some more. Just had confirmation that if I want them, I can import a set of the style below in 19's  for a very reasonable price (and that's taking into consideration shipping and taxes). I've always said I'm not a huge fan of the chromed look but the style is (in my mind anyway!) really nice: a five spoke split rim alloy where the spokes aren't too thick and taper towards the end. After seeing James mention refinishing his alloys it occurred to me that I could always do the same...

What do you reckon guys? [bracing myself for the backlash] ;) :D

nice looking wheels should look good on your zed especially if it is black (your car) but for spokes that thin and that far apart u will need some blinging disc an calipers

Bling Bling

Could someone possibly do a photoshop of a Zed with these wheels on? Im useless with this program but im sure it would give you a good idea of what they would look like.

Not bad mate. I prefer thicker spokes myself but it may be worth asking Mickey to Pshop them so you can see the finished result. Will give you a much better idea.

Good point on the brakes - defo need a big set up behind those babies. Leigh, I almost got a set almost iidentical to those from SE some time back but they had just stopped doing them! I like chrome wheels personally. I say go for it!

(come on, spill the beans on how much?)

Blingaty fookin Bling Friday :nana2:

They sure look good bud, have you seen what your car will look like with them on yet? I know some of these whizz kids can do stuff like that.

Definately a good point there. I'm running a GTR Brembo set-up on the fronts so hopefully the brakes won't get tooooo lost behind the alloys! Not as good as a huge AP kit but they'll do the job till I can afford something better (sometime in the next century the way things are going!;))

Was very impressed with that smoked chrome look you posted about James! As I say it's always an option!

All in, including shipping (with the same company that's sorted my V8, YA Logistics who I highly recommend BTW!) and taxes it woks out at a few pennies over £1000. I'm not sure but I think the law on customs charges and import taxes changed for the better in the budget...If so, it could work out a bit cheaper :)

£1200 for a set of 19" blining chromes thats sounds like a bargain to me i got qouted £1500 for a set of oz superleggras but couldnt get them anywhere just aswell a week later i got offered a nearly new set of 18's for £400 how wide are the rims your getting
