Dead Battery

My Zed has been laid up over for about 7 months and has only been started several times in this period, due to working on the engine.

I have now finished the work and kicked her over and left it running for about 30 minutes. Switched her off and then went to kick it over again but no power at all, not even the faintest show of the warning lights on the dash!.

Should the battery have charged a little in this time (the car has not actually moved anywhere!).

Cheers

half an hour should have charged it up fully, it either indicates a dead alternator or the plates in the battery might have shorted, try charging the battery on a charger and see how many amps it pulls,

also, check that the battery posts and connections are clean and tight.
