Just wondering what kind of responce you guys recieve from 350z owners over there. I passed one yesterday in slow moving traffic, it was georgeous looking silver one, i gave him a discreet wave of acknowledgement but he completely dismissed me even though he saw me...Pr*ck was probably thinking "your only driving that cos you cant afford this".

Some are upward young professionals (or others) who don't know much about cars but had the money to buy a nice one, read a car mag or review in a sunday paper and went out and bought the best value coupe available. I guess they won't know what a 300 is.

true. feel sorry for those guys. people who have no passion have nothing

still iff they look at u like dirt just be smug in the fact that you car is faster than theirs for less money lol

Most 350z owners are md's who have no clue

about the cars heritage or pedigree, it just fits

into their tax bracket & looks good at the golf

course, anyone remember the hassle we had at

Billing last year, trying to get them to move so we

could get out?

However, there are a few who do recognise the marque,

and understand what it's all about...not many though! :confused:

350's never try to race me :( im still waiting to blow one away then slow down and give 'em the compulsory smug grin! :D

Ive not once had a 350 owner return a wave/flash ooer!!!

 

Only time i raced one was in my 10 year old, 130'000 mile ,Vauxhall Cavalier V6 Auto and i wasted it!! :D

Having said that if i come across him again, He'll Know exactly what a 300zx is , cos all he'll see is my new tail-lite conversion getting a lot smaller :duffer: but im sure he wont be telling his golfing buddies

True, although I've exchanged approving nods with a few 350Z drivers at petrol stations so I guess I've mostly encountered enthusiasts.

 

I regularly encountered a Bronze 350 on my way to work a couple of weeks last year. We had a couple of interesting moments along a dual carriageway where I showed the Z32 was still the fastest Z, after that he'd wave respectfully as I passed or simply hang his head in shame....... :o

Did Ya`ll see that clip on top gear last year where they raced a standard 300zx against a new 350z??? The standard 300zx won by about 2 car lenghths if you didnt! Most 350z owners are buisness executives who dont even know how to open the bonnet...TO**ERS :xxx:

Chewie, I've only seen Mike a few times in his blue 350z, even though he is just down the raod from me.

Steve-o - AFIK not one of the members on the 350zuk forum upgraded from a TT, not sure where you got that notion from. You sound like you got a bit of testorone that needs releasing :tongue:

I know SteveO and he is not a bad lad,however I would go as far to say that 99% of BMW drivers are total tossers,So I would say that Steve is that 1%:D;)

Grant, I didn’t say all mate just the majority. May be something in the water around here, but people in Swindon who drive 350z’s seem to drive them everywhere flat out trying to prove a point? of what I am unsure. Also when I was driving around in the Z I flashed / gave a wave to at least five of them in a short time, not one returned the gesture and looked at me like a piece of shit instead. I did come across another few, and all they were interested in was racing me. Perhaps I should be flattered they were trying to race me, perhaps they were trying to redeem the 350z name in hope of beating a TTz, but 16psi, no chance mate no chance (cue petes grily laugh, lmao ;)) Anyway’s perhaps I was a little harsh, just my experience from the ppl I have seen around here that own them. Only ever got the chance to speak to one guy who owned one at a local car wash, he seemed like a total w4nker too, just on about how he would annihilate my TT and it was the fastest car in Swindon :S. I look forward to meeting decent 350z drivers, until I do I think I will just change the old nod/wave to the bird.

Dav mate, BMW drivers are still W4nkers lol, not all of em tho ;). I have had three types of experience since driving the bimmer. The first is other BMW’s are nice to you, they actually let you out and give the M some respect too :) very good indeed. The second is you get the typical rep, no clue about cars and no indicators, drives a 330ci up me arse soo far he is actually sat in my back seats, when the road clears, you cane him off. Then three miles down the road when you are chilling out at a respectable speed he has just about got up to 150 come bombing up and demands to pass you again, not learning from the first experience, the third is, normal cars, really don’t like BMW’s and if I indicate to change lanes in traffic etc as I normally would, they just don’t let me in as if to say ‘oh look there is another typical BMW driver’ when if I was in an escort or something they would just let it go and not think twice.
