I must say I didn't agree with his policies though he did considerable harm in the third world. I imagine some people would disagree with me.

I was thinking about this yesterday......Pope jp has devoted his entire life to God and that means he hasn`t been layed probably ever.....Sooooo what if now he`s dead and he finds out in the after life that there is no God or Heaven....He`s gonna think aww FFS ive wasted my Life! :confused:

if there is no afterlife then he wont know he's ever lived, so its not a problem.

 

the only way you'll ever know you are dead is if there is life after.

I have difficulty feeling sorry for anyone who has lived a good life to a good age and passed on. Thats probably flavoured by the fact, that as someone brought up as a roman catholic, I feel that an octagenarian who (allegedly) has never had sex in his life, to issue edicts on sexual behaviour to people, which arguably have cost millions of lives and an untold amount of suffering is a bit rich. my 2p

i read something somewhere that the world is going to end, at christmass we had the terrible tsunami which killed thousands, then at easter there was an earthquake that killed even more and now probably one of the most religious person in the world has died, im not usually supersticious but i just thought that this was quite strange i know that the church is in panick about all this r.i.p anyway

Anyway as a non-catholic (Non-Christain or any other secular religion for that matter) he had no effect or influence on my life so neither does his death.

 

People the world over in their 80s are dying every day so JP2's passing may serve me to spare a thought for them, as it reminds me of our own mortality.
