Now a question. I was told that my 300ZX TT Import will be able 110 octane AVGAS is this true.

 

If it was i was thinking in using at a race day, just for that day. Don't want to goose my engine, any ideas???

 

Could you also mix it with normal 95 Ron to get a lower ron that would be safer for your engine i.e 100Ron??

Octane booster is available from most car parts places - about a fiver and you can get a couple of octane on a full tank, more on half a tank. Add this to Optimax and you get a noticeable difference in performance (not huge just noticeable).

Running higher octane fuel is good way to protect from detonation and should do your engine no harm.

If you have access to AVGAS then do use it, it does boost octane but costs a fortune.
