Not sure how many of you guys know, but I recently bought Jaz's 300zx.

While I was arranging transportation the vehicle was clamped and then removed for having no tax!

OK so it was gonna cost me another £400 to get the car released, bit of a kick in the nuts but still worth it to get the car.

Sent Jaz the extra cash so he could go to the pound today and get the car released to the transport company bringing it back up north.

Jaz turns up today, pays money, goes to find car to put a few bits and bobs in it for me.................

The fookers have CRUSHED IT!!!!!!!! :headvswal

They only had the car for 9 days Can they do this???????

Any input would be gratefully accepted.

A sad end to a really good car :(

Cheers Guys

PETER

Not much to add mate, aside from I hope you get it all sorted and expose the *******s for the cheating scum they are!

This is probably the important part...

Disposed of.........

Unclaimed vehicles of no economic value are disposed of by crushing after 7 days. Vehicles of economic value will be disposed after 14 days. Any vehicle of significant value will be resold at auction. In addition, owners of unlicensed vehicles face the prospect of prosecution with fines of up to £1,000 plus the back tax owed and costs.

They could have got thier £1000 if they had auctioned it.

thats shocking.

surely its an april fools joke? :nelson: cant believe they could do that....

Bloody hell mate, Sorry to here that, I hope you take em to the cleaners!

:nono::nono: Me thinks someone taking the p!ss and need a foooking good hiding :mac1: If you need a hand Pete you know you only have to ask :x:

Ohh my God I thought this was an early April fool's joke I can't believe it's real. If the DVLA say it shouldn't have happened then I reckon you should be able to seriously sue some fat-ass for this. Mother fookers - someone needs sorting big time.

Yep tell me bout it Mac!it had been out of tax for a couple of months, but rather then me storing it, Pete's guys were supposed to have picked it up sooner.... but they messed him around a little. At the same time i spoke to my local Auth, The wheel clamping/removal dept and the guy was completely assuring that it would not be picked up as " he had seen the car and thought it was gorgeous" etc etc so something doesnt add up....they supposidly crushed it within 10days bearing in mind the easter bank holiday weekend. I called them straight away as i wasnt there when they took it and told them under NO circumstances should this car be even placed near to a crusher! me and pete organised the pick up as fast as we physically could have done.

When i went to pick it up i gave the money, the lady at the office was fine, she gave me a reciept and we then proceeded into the yard for me to put a few things into the car b4 pete's lot took it....even before all this i couldnt see it anywhere. We looked around for 10mins and then a guy there said "what car you looking for mate" i told him etc and he says " oh yeah i know the one that got crushed yesterday". I tell you somin Mac, the seperate yard where they keep the crushed cars, guess what i didnt even see a glimps of a yellow beast!! ooooh thats funny considering it was crushed less then 24hrs ago and there being stacks of others that seemed to have been sitting there for months!!!!!

im mean for F*** sake they guys in the office didnt even have any info as to this even being on the list of being crushed except a memo saying "Do not dispose of, owner coming to pick up on the 31st"

Just feel like hurting someone bad!! those scheming motherf******...

cant we all chip in for legal fees and realy **** em over

Who has the log book? Surley you will be notified should someone try and register it again?

Bob

Good luck with whatever you do to these bastids. Put the ****ers out of business!! Absolutely sickening. Theiving scum of the earth. Really do feel for you.

sorry to hear this bud ,,, what area was car supossedly crushed ,ie which depot in which town,, will keep look out for any parts etc, and car its self, i dont beleive it was crushed either someones got this car somewhere,,

Is it me...Sniff...Sniff...or does anyone else smell BULLS**T?

Wasn't Croydon Borough Council per chance was it? Things is there aren't any free ombudsman complaint people to see about this sort of sh1t. Gotta front the cash yourself if you wanna take em to court (think i'm right on this)

If the woman in the office thought it was still there and then it wasn't, well, it's pretty obvious what's happened, innit?

There's no way they can crush cars without booking them in and out, no way. Either they've nicked it - in which case get the plod involved - or they've accidentally crushed it - in which case sue them for neglience and get the plod involved for criminal damage.

I had my car towed in London once, from an 8am parking limit at 0750am - I gave up trying to get my 200 quid back after about a year...

I gave up because it was towed on behalf of the local authority!
