zeds been idling very bad wont rev over 2500 and then cut out..

 

i have check and cleaned everything in site .i got excited when i

finally remove injectors conector all green and coroded ..

 

thought i had it.i made a booboo when replacing connectors i had two backwards. should i worry about messing up injectrs?? anyway put them

 

back on still no go..i replaced coil connectors which were horrid..

 

im at the point of tears ,,ayway i ordered new plugs a temp sensor and a

 

a new tps from courtesy hope it helps.. havnt run diag on ecu too chicken to

 

mess with it..

 

any sugestion would be appreciative.... tks...

Refusing to rev over 2500 is often due to a faulty air flow meter. Check the ECU fault codes for confirmation.

i will try and do a diag tomorrow. i took off the air flow meter

 

and the wire mesh has a rip in it ,would that keep it from working ??

no the wire mesh is often torn or missing, wont affect the running :)

yep, air flow meter, had very same problem last week , i drove 160 mile trip on sat to a breaker who said he had one ,but wasnt sure if it would still work.

got there, swapped them around and ran perfectly smooth. hope you find a used one , if not jeff at zworld has a way of repairing them but mine was too badly damaged for this

i hope..... i read somewhere that if moisture gets into it it plays havoc..

 

crossed my mine that i cleaned my air filter i used a water hose .

 

and a hair dryer after , but possible it wasnt dried correctly i took both

 

airfilter amd mass unit offthis morning to let dry .. im at work at moment

 

so hopefully this afternoon ill know.. if not i have a friend with a zed

 

got in accident racing i could possibly borrow his to check ..

 

and christ a new one is expensive $440..US at courtesy...

yep took off my air filter off put hair dryer it along with MAS .let dry

 

at leasy 2 days...

 

and sure as hell car back to idling was a bit unsteady

 

but seenms to be straightening itself out . might need to do

 

a ecu reset . for good measure i also changed temp sensor and pts.

 

tomorrow hopefully im going to changed my injector connectors

 

along with new spark plugs . may the force be with me.....

If a drop of water gets on the actual sensor of the MAS it will stop it from working.

 

If you clean your air filter you have to make sure its perfectly dry before you put it on. I put it on one of the house radiators for a day. But I would feel you have little need for house central heating. ;)

try removing the connector plug from the airflow meter while the engine's running.

 

i did this and the engine all of a sudden ran perfectly smooth, although wouldnt go past 2500 revs, it summed up it was most definitely the problem.

my happyness was short lived , my car started acting up

over weekened , finally did the ecu diag and it came up with code 12 mas

 

i borrowing my friends mas but his got cracked in acident so not much help.

 

came at a bad time i just spent most of my cash on my lady nissan wagon

 

engine needs a rebuild.. so much for that ..courtesy here i come ..
