Im on the look out for a new brake setup.

What would be the best option?

Get a stop tech kit from the US or something?

Or get some calipers here and get everything seporatly?

I could then hold out for some AP calipers or brembos

Hi Stuart -

I'm still working on sorting out a big brake conversion kit with a supplier. They are being particularly slow in their feedback and have now gone on holiday until the end of the week but ...

This is what I'm looking at getting organised:

Brembo 4-pot calipers

Brembo grooved or drilled rotors (sizes upto 355mm)

Stainless steel brake hoses

Carbon-Kevlar brake pads (from Smithy)

These will be brand new and available in different sizes to fit behind 16", 17" and 18"+ rims.

Can't say anything about prices other than it will make you think twice about buying a used Skyline setup.

I'll keep you and the forum informed on the (slow) progress in the next couple of weeks. I'd like to get this sorted ASAP but want to get it right the first time round (seeing as how brakes are probably the single most important part on the car ...)

All the best,

Danny

PS - can you send me payment for your crystal 300ZX paperweight please ... it's ready to be dispatched

Sent you a PM about the paper weight.

Do you have an idea on the time scale we are talking with this brake setup?

I have brake kits in a 4 & 6 Piston 330 or 355mm disks  setup ready to go and will in fact be posting details tomorrow :nana:
