The OEM ones are in the Owners Manual which is available from Nissan Dealers (and elsewhere, no doubt).

And of course in the online workshop manual on this site - why not take a look at it? And there's loads of pics and stuff here http://www.300zx.org.uk

If you need more help, why not post a pic of the ones you don't know and I am sure we'll help. Bit difficult to guess which ones you don't know, otherwise :D

Welcome to the forum mate.

Which controls are you unsure about exactly? Heater? Gearbox switch? Others?

Hi Craig...theres an orange 'trigger' for want of a better word on the auto selector lever that puzzles me,also a quick run down of the cruise control would be helpful.

many thx for your interest and help.I'd love to get hold of an owners manual for the car its so frustrating sounding like a total nOOb :)

thx m8

Orange trigger - hmm I think mine might have one too but I dunno what it does.

Mine doesn't have cruise control thought so I can't help there either!

Sorry - not much use!

Sure someone or those links will know.

The orange trigger/lever relises the shifter from the park posistion when the engine is not running!

I think LOL

Thx for that guys...Ill not bother to mess with that one then heh :)

Chunks spot on.

The trigger allows you to move the auto shifter without the ignition on.

Usefull when having to remove the stereo surround.

Fill.

when you boot it the the gearbox switches into "power" mode (sports mode on every other auto I have driven! :D ), basically will take the car pretty much to redline revs before changing up gear. if you have a jap car you can turn this on manually via the power/hold switch beside the gear shift.

Thx David,I realise I sound a bit of a noob but this is my first Z and I got no

manuals or data on it you see.It is indeed a Jap import and I notice the power/hold switch is 3 position, the central position of the rocker switch being off of course, how then does the opposite switch positions work?

cheers m8

Gio....yeah mate the silver one did come in first! did you see the bit where he

nukes the ladas on that dvd...priceless!!!:)

Don't worry, everyone has to ask somthing like this sooner or later :D First that picture in the link that Chunk put up, is for a Series 1 Jap import, with Auto box, Air-Con and Cruise Control. As the Air-Con pod was altered from series 2, and a few other minor bits aswell.

As for the Power/Hold switch....... as stated the Power button holds the box in the gears longer before changing up(as mentioned Above). The Hold button is basically for bad weather driving (snow/ice) once you are into second gear it won't allow it to drop back into first, hence giving you better torque for slippery conditions.

He probably did, as that is HIS silver Zed ;)

hold is also bloody good if you're low on the old motion lotion. economy (for me anyway) seems a lot better with hold turned on.

Thanks Dave for for replies,I'll give the hold button a stab and see how the fuel economy goes! thx too to all who helped in this thread ;)
