Now i can finally attach pics i would like to know if anybody knows where you can get these neon rear centre panels, it lights up when you turn the lights on. I thought it was different.

Make one, strip off the back and bang a neon in there, i've got a spare set of back lights complete if you fancy purchasing them to try it ;)

I have had one for years,speak to Smithy in the trader section he may be able to point you in the right direction.

Its not a bulb. Its an EL sheet, or is usually is

My understanding is that the were a factoy option on the Jap models. Mine's a series 4 and came with illuminated green rear panel and green 300ZX iluminated kick plates, both fcatory fitted. They look the *****cks

This is getting confusing for me, mine lights up like that, its a 1990 import, thought it was standard, there seems to be a few things on mine that say the cars been altered, or maybe theyre just standard on imports

no pete there not standard on imports,just some were lucky they were fitted ;)

They're a JDM only part. There was a company over there selling them a while back for silly money (£300ish I think?) but not sure if they still are (can't for the life of me find the link, sorry :( ). Mine came with one but TBH I never really liked it so I sold it. Even second hand these things can still fetch quite a bit (in good nick) as the original ones are like rocking horse sh1te to get hold of.

look carefully there are no wires coming out of the back and no inverter with it.

The ad actually says rear light panel not illuminated panel

just make sure if you were thinkin of biding cos you might be dissapointed

yup the one i had...had a little box wired in to the panel an inverter as paul said,dont bid to buy unless you want a plain centre panel
