Is it integral with the black strip?

CheerZ,

Andy - I think if the reply is yes then my answer is going to be an obvious one wink.gif

I peeled my Twin Tub badge off the other week, not replacing it either. But I'd like to know what would be the best stuff for removing the glue residue from the black paint without damaging the surface?

helloo Diane,

best way is to get a hair dryer too it, slowly pull it off and it should peel with ease.

Hey I have a Fairlady sticker, don't you like it?

Personal choice but - No.

Fairlady - ugh! Don't think it fits the car from a descriptive point of view - Anyway mines a he so how can HE have a sticker saying FairLADY!!!

My Fairlady sticker was half missing, so I removed the rest of it. However, it still leaves an outline, which is annoying. Also, the black is not paint but a black vinyl sticker.

Hey george, havent seen your name since i started logging on, check each persons car as they introduce themselves - just checked your car out - verry nice.

There are soo many variations of the zed it amazes me - I have so much to learn!!!

I agree with Diane, FAIRLADY for christs sake? 300ZX sounds more "a little bit wuuu, a little bit werrrrr" but having a car named after a bloody musical?

Mr. Kimoto-Toto or whatever his name is may have changed the course of Nelsons future by inventing the Z but he went a bit west with the naming conventions on the 300! Strange man! biggrin.gif

Andy - If its in tact then would you say its better to leave it on??

Di

Right thats it!!!! I'm having a sex change biggrin.gif I mean 7 replies in 13 minutes??? That can't be healthy biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

CheerZ,

Andy

Not sure if I've missed anything but what colour is the car diane???

CheerZ,

Andy

Diane,

If you're asking me then I'd say remove it. My car doesn't want a gurlie sticker on it, my car goes GRRRRRRR !

Tim,

Meths. And no tasting - you'll go blind.

Funnily enough I was having the same conversation with a mate the other day, Fairlady sounds like a weekend shopping car frown.gif

Should have called it something like – Nissan 300xz Mean bitch biggrin.gif

Fairlady make me think of someone skipping gayly through a meadow whilst singing - Sound of Music stylee (can't remember her character name!)

biggrin.gif LOL biggrin.gif

I removed mine, totally debadged in fact other than a Z on the nose. Use lighter fluid to remove the rubbery (not a joke) backing and glue.

Off topic, here's a couple of pics of an original FAIRLADY as seen at Billing this year.

OK next question, what condition is the black trim in??? If its a bit tatty like mine was then remove it - just a thought anyway. Do be carefull though cos sometimes there is some nasty rust under the spoiler on the lip of the boot which will be uncovered......
