Mine came from the States $130 IIRC.

You're not wrong Mark! Do you ever get any "plenum knock" or is it happy being so close? I've been looking for one for a while and the official Nismo ones are like hen's teeth (and fooking expensive!) :(

Yep it's fine. Although I can only imagine how tight it must be under there !!

mark have you tried fitting it the other way around? i.e. flat edge at the rear

i think it looks alot better that way round, obviously leaving the brackets where they are just turning the centre piece

Are these actually a benefit to handling (like the Nismo one) or are they more for show?

Steve

No knocking at all thank goodness. I went for it as it looked the most substantial available and I thought it would eliminate any flex there might be at the front of the car.

IIRC I tried it that way round by mistake and it wouldn't fit  I seem to remember it did rub on the plenum - maybe I just have a terrible memory and I'm a crap mechanic :D !!

Any recommendation for a rear bar ? Any pics anyone ?

well as long it doesnt have th properties of an elastic band it definatley has a benefit. stops the front end 'spreading' and flexing
