Right guys and gals we've recently had meets in the North, South and West. So to be fair to everyone I thought we'd have the next meet in the east of the region. I was thinking about Peterborough but dont know the area so would be open to suggestions from the guy's in the area for a location. Idealy it will be a pub with a car park large enough for 20ish cars.

So come guy's - get yer thinking caps on!

I'll have a think and get back to you.

:D We can all so check out all the speed cameras for JAE weekender :nono:

Peter'boro sounds good to me, although I'll probably be coming from Leicester :D

Yep,went to a meet with the Manta Owners club[surprise!]-sure it's been recently refurbed as well................

There is a good one a bit further towards Grantham at Muston with good parking and restaurant. You cant see much from the road as it is screened by trees.

Is that The Muston Gap Pete? ;)

I aint gonna be able tomake this in my Zed, but hopefully Phil/Ivan will have a seat spare for me :)

The Muston Gap does realyl nice food, go there once a month with the missus family and never been dissapointed yet....

I recommend the Chicken & Ribs combo or the Lasange ;)

Blimey Mark!!

You might be coming to a meet!! LOL

Only Joking bud, If you need a lift and my Z is done (which it wont be) i'll give you a lift LOL!

I know, me at a meet, who ever would have thought it! :D

I think when my car FINALLY makes it to a meet, we should break out the champagne....lol! One day.... :)

IAM UP FOR THE MEET AS MY CAR IS FINNISHED AND OUT THE BODYSHOP THIS WEEKEND  ONLY BEEN 8 MONTHS OF THE ROAD CANT WAIT TO GET BACK ON IT

If this is still going to be Peterborough I could suggest a couple of pubs.

'The Hampton' is a modern chain-type pub with a decent car park and it's on the edge of the city near the A1 for easy access. The local cruisers have meets there occasionally so they're used to lots of people in cars turning up and there's a McDonalds there too. There is a speed bump that's quite big but my car gets over it no problems.

'The Admiral Wells' is in Holme, a few miles south east of Peterborough. It's a smaller, old pub but does very nice proper food for reasonable money. The car park is smaller and gravel but I think it'd be fine. It's "out on the fen" which is an experience in itself.

If those are no good, and you do want to go to Peterborough, I can suggest some others.

For these meets do we warn the pub or just turn up? If you need someone local to warn them, of course I'm happy to help.

This sounds like something different(IMHO). I have a mate in the Z Club who lives in Ramsey St Marys further down this rather bumpy road!.Quaint part of world!

Going to Peterborough area it would be good to check out the new JAE location at East of England showground.

Polite suggestion for consideration. Meet at entrance to showground , then You (Craig David) could lead us to the pub. Getting off the A1 and onto the little road to Holme/Ramsey is a navigational nightmare!

Just a suggestion, if you all think otherwise then I dont mind, Im going to check out the site anyway!

Hmmm all good info there boys. The criteria neds to be a pub with a largeish tarmac car park with no speed bumps and near to the A1 and easyish to find. Any suggestions welcome boys!

Ivan

Good points - probably neither pub is a good one.

I will think of some others.

But I found out today I may have to work away over that weekend so might not make it. :headvswal

Shame - was WELL up for leading a procession of Zs!

Yes - looks like I will be working (in France) on that day so there's no way I can make it.

If I can cancell the trip I'll come along but it's pretty unlikly I'm afraid.

Gutting.

The Harvester pub right next to the East of England Showground entrance could be good.

Chain pub and all that entails. Food etc.

Nice large car park - a couple of sped bumps but you don't have to go over them so not a problem.
