I really want a Veilside C2 body kit with mirrors extra but i have been told by a couple of people to keep it standard as it will be worth more? I have recently given up trying to sell my N/A as i was getting no interest. I think i am going to do it up the way i want it and drive it into the ground or a lampost  Does anyone know if other people look at body kitted cars as : Cars that have been raced by boy racers and to stay clear or dont pay out a lot for them??

imho i think thats crap

Dude they aint worth feck all anyway :(

What Chris said mate!!-I just do mine 'cos I want to-not to try and get a better price for it.At the end of the day it depends on what a buyer is looking for! ;)

have to agree, like anything totally depends on the car/owner

personally and im sure like most on here, after spending ££££'s to get the car looking the way i want, apart from motorways i look after the car,

rather pointless spending good money and then drive it like the local chav with his fluffy dice, as for keeping it standard and it will be worth more, i reckon they are thinking of things like triumph stags/mark 1 escorts etc

(Mac will you swop cars please, as mines not as modded as yours so mines worth lots more isnt it??? :nelson: )

If you fit a body kit, the only person who will see value in it is you (and the bodyshop you paid).

The more mods you make, the more individual the car is. The more individual, the fewer people it will appeal to. The fewer people it appeals to, the smaller the market for it. The smaller the market, the lower the price.

Never ever mod a car in the expectation you will get back the money you spend. Only mod a car if you think the effect you get (performance or looks) is good for you at the price you paid.

Look at Mac's car. It's a labour of love and there is no way he will ever get the money back if he flogs it. But he will get the enjoyment for his car done the way he wants.

But cheap mods done badly (and that's so easy to do with bodywork) just bleed value from the car.

If you're looking to add value to a Zed - maintain it well and fix all the nigglies. If you're going to

i am going to do it up the way i want it and drive it into the ground or a lampost
don't expect everyone to agree with the way you want it or pay over the odds for a car which has been driven into the ground or a lampost.

Blimey!, were all a bit serious today! :D

Maybe it's cuz the suns boogered off

Depends on the mods I suppose. One mans pleasure's another mans poison so they say. The right buyer will pay the right money for the right car, modded or not it's all about luck n timing when you try to sell.

Don't ever mod a Z, or any car, expecting to get any money back on it.......do it because you want to! Its that simple.
