Anyone?

putting both together misfire, and fuel smell to me indicates over-fueling

misfire could be fuel in the exhaust causing the poping/fireing noise followed by a fuel smell

im not 100%sure though, just sounds logical[fuel pump or fuel regulator]

cheers gregg, cant believe no one else knows the problem, or has even suggested anything :headvswal

hello bro, check all your small BOOST pipes, I think you may have a pipe blown off or a split in a pipe.

Check them all especially on the inlet manifold

whats the car boosting to ? you got a proper boost gauge ?

cheers swbtt. the car is boosting to 0.5bar, has done since i had it, i have an after market gauge also, i cant see any drop in boost.

which means you're in safety boost or have boost leaks. Have you done an ECU check for codes? Otherwise pressurise the system to find leaks.

are you running BOVs mate cos they tend to overfuel for a second as you lift off the gas

Yes mate, i have i believe HKS ssq ???????

I "think" she is running just ever so slightly above safety, as i can see a small change from cold to hot in the boost level, but i have not checked ecu, or preassure test, to be honest, i have no idea on how to do either mate, but i do think there maybe a leak, as she is fitted with boost jets, yet still only boosting 0.5bar
