Jesus, Mark.....

WTF are you doing to it

Richard ;)

Errrmmm, hmmmm, well, it kinda started a couple of weeks ago when I was preparing to fit my nismo 555's. Started stripping the loom down to remove the plenum and just about every connector on the engine side broke!!! Nissan dont sell the connectors seperately (So what the hell your supposed to do if you break ONE I dont know, nor did the guy at the Dealership! lol) so I am having to get a whole new engine loom. Nissan want £800 inc the VAT! LMAO!!! FAT chance!

Anyway, to remove the loom, the cooler unit for the Air con has to come out as the loom enters the bulkhead from the ECU behind it and without taking the dash off, there's no way you'd get it out.......it is out now though.... :)

All door panels and interior have also been removed and taken home so I can retrim them over the next week at home in the evenings....DIY job coming up! :)

Also, with all this room (No plenum, engine manifold, dashboard) fitting my manual kit will be loads easier! :D

I'll post some more piccies up after easter weekend, 4 days of putting the zed all back together..... :duffer:

Once thats done, its a few hundred miles to put some miles back on her and then into the bodyshop to look like my sig.....finally after 2 years...... :duffer:

Yes mate, I am after some 6x9 speaker brackets for the front. Do you think I could make some out of MDF and then re-fabricate the cards to house the new speakers?

I'll be round for the drill tomorrow! :D

Mate, you're a bit premature parking in the "MOT Parking" area ;)

LMAO  Mac, it broke down two weeks after the MOT and has been at the garage since October last year whilst I hunted for a manual box...... :D

Hopefully, she'll be coming home before the next one!

Speak to MJP in the Trader section Oh and please let me know if you get any undercutting PMs.

You got some guts doing all that. Respect is due. Was thinking of taking my dash off at some point to replace the white dash lighting with blue LEDs (and maybe a couple of red ones for the centres of the dials), but now I'm thinking maybe not. All the best with it mate. Hope you get her back on the road soon.

Hope all goes well Mark, massive project....and a respray from red to Black...take note everyone else ;)

m0n1xX3r, Thats a very simple job, you only need to remove the two instrument binacles and the Clocks. 15mins to remove, 15mins to refit.

lol, it is daunting mate at first but I am quietly confident about putting the dash back in next weekend.....

Its a good time to replace the anti-squeak rubber around the dash though..... :)

I think my plan would be to get the speakers you want, then make the housing up from MDF,then fit em' to the door cards from behind, then you could trim them at the same time! ;) BTW-you still might have to ''modify'' the door![depends how deep your going? :x:
