YeeeeeeeeeeeAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've finally found the fault with my Zed :D

For those who don't know, I've had a running problem with my Zed for some time now. Basically, when you press your foot down to get some 'Humpty' out of it, it just coughs and splutters! You have to back your foot off a bit and increase gentley (hardley any point in owning a Zed if you have to do that all the time). Then once its really warmed up it's very lumpy on idle (10 out of 10 for technical wording ;) )

The solution......

Today I've been fitting my new shiney Cam cover, Throttle cover and Coilpack bolts. When I got to the coilpack ones, i decided to take the pack out and check the spark plug at the same time. When I took No/ 2 out the pack looked fine, but the spark plug had all black dry gunge round it. Strange i thought, but maybe just some stuff that had fallen down there and had dryed out. then i took No/ 4 out, and discovered why all the black gunge in No/ 2. Can you spot why???....

Basically it's knacked!! :D It's blown a hole on three sides, and has been arcing to earth. This is the caurse of my running fault. It looks like the previous owner has swopped the coilpacks over in an atempt to rectify the problem, or just put them back in the wrong place.

So i've wrapped quite a bit of insulation tape round it (as a temp measure), and took it for a test drive.......... perfect :D

So tonight I'm a happy man, even though I'm trying not to think of all the money I've spent trying to rectify this problem
