I got a Greddy Profec E01, and got some problems

I don`t got stabile boost from about 5000rpm(power/hp goes "up and down", like rollercoaster after 5000rpm), I have tried with many settings at my BC witout any luck.

I got about 400hp to 417hp(at wheels) with 1,2Bar to 1,4Bar with these settings(these is are the best I got):

Set:66% (about 1,4Bar)

Gain:20-25% (about 1Bar på 3700-3800rpm)

Startboost:1,2Bar

BUT when I clamp the house that goes to Wastegate`s I got about 460hp(at wheels) at 5000rpm(boost came much faster when I clamp WG hose).

Here when I clamped(my settings at Profec wont work then) the hose to WG`s(I dident dare to go over 1,4-1,5Bar and stop about 5200rpm)

Looks like the gain is probably too high.

Back it right off, then bring it back up to get stable response. During this time, just put in a set value to give you a boost level somewhere above the wastegate's opening value.

Also, while you're doing it, put the start boost at 0, set it last about 3psi below the final level you want.

mm, I got one of these fitted and set up by GPS, but they didn't return the manual with it and I'm scared to fiddle with any of the settings. I have it just at 1 bat at the moment, but I'd quite like to set up alternatives if the car can take it (should do - bigger tubs now etc).

Does anyone have a copy of the manual, and maybe some helpfil tips?

I have already tried many different settings, and I`m starting to wonder if my solinoind valve is the problem. Are there any methods to check my solinoid valve? I got allmost the same hp output during my testing, ( using dyno )

I am for the moment at the highest hp output, but when I clamp the hose to the wastegate the power increase to 460 hp @ 5000rpm. and 1,4 bar. boost.

that looks exactly like my problem belfore i blew my engine

- i am going to stick my neck out that you are either maxing out the turbo's or you have a problem with bleed though the wastegates or you are running with too much advance on the cams.

I had a fluttering on stage II T28 hybrids which was simply causeed by the the turbos not holding enough pressure - the Profec was still trying to open the wastegate but was at too close to the limit.

my suggestions would be

1) turn down the boost to 1 bar and see if you are still getting fluttering problems

2)reduce to the cam advance (if any)

3) tighten up the wategate actuators

I hope this helps

 thats no good

I dont have any problems(fluttering) at 1 bar boost

2)reduce to the cam advance (if any)

Can I do that with SMT6 Piggyback?

What values?

3) tighten up the wategate actuators

Small place down there, but I shall do that

Sorry i should explain - i blew the engine because we wired the wastegates shut and i had a boost spike which took out a piston - it wasnt the turbo fluttering that caused the engine failure.

If you havent advanced the cam timings then dont worry about them - i was running with a few degres of advance on the exhaust cam which resulted in less back pressure.

I dont know the spec of the JWT 600 turbos but i would suspect that either you are running close to their maximum capacity or you have a bleed though the wastegates, if your wastegate actuators are a bit soft the pressure within the turbo could be forcing open the wastegates slightly - this leads to a drop in the pressure and the wastegate shuts again - does this sound like the symptoms?? It confused the hell out of my profec -

when you are operating well within the limits of the turbos you never notice this because they can supply enough air to compensate for any bleed though the wastegates -

If you are operating right at the limit of the turbo you might get better results from a manual boost controller.

I hope this helps

Thats good news for me

Now I understand(my english is bad), can`t adjust that with SMT6

I dont know the spec of the JWT 600 turbos

I don`t no that my self, I have mail JWT and Conzept Per. few times without any answer(bad service?)

Could me like you say here(I`m 95% sure about that)

Ok, nice info

If you are operating right at the limit of the turbo you might get better results from a manual boost controller.

I shall test with other BC, and se how I works then(after just. WG)

I hope this helps

Very much, thanks
