Ignition switch

Anyone know if the ignition switches are different man.-auto.

My car is jap auto and the switch has wires fixed to it. Found a replacement but it has no wires at all. I think the wires are for the park locking mechanism but dont know.

    No mate they are the same as I switched my ignition from my NA man to Baggins turbo Auto

    If so where do they go to as my'ne has been smashed. If the spare swith I have has no wires then I guess it wont let me put the car into park.

     

    I am useing the car with the new switch but cant get the stick into park even if I lift the swith on the stick to over-ride it..

     

    Not having much luck with this at the moment.
