I worked as a Minder for 8 years, what you did was unprofessional, in work or out of it. Showed your employer you can`t keep your head.

Bob

thx for your support guys, i should off told the whole story instead of parts then u could of all understood, i see we have a few ex service men here, im glad you can see how i feel and were im coming from........

and yes i do slap hard, only wen mad though. im wanna these people that u can wind up take the piss out of and unless u cross the line then i will 9 times out of ten take the piss out of my self aswell, u need to be able to laugh at your self b4 u can laugh at others.

karl

Ex mil or no ex mil you DONT slap your own IMHO! Its all about teamwork and if one guy f*cks up you don't slap him you take him away from the rest of the team and you explain to him why and how he f*cked up!

I have run the door for over 13 years and if I slapped my guys for messing up then over the years I would have probably battered 30 guys on my team at least.

However if this member of your team wanted to fight you then that's a different story you arrange a time and a place then after the best man wins you shake hands and make up!

By taking the action you did you showed you are not professional and sounds like you need a little help to control your temper.

PS I also hit VERY hard when annoyed however that has nothing at all to do with it.

I am doing The solent NABBA compatition

Only Nabba show in 9 weeks is the British Champs?

Well for what it's worth. And from the very sketchy details you gave, I think it sounds like he deserved something.

A smack, a threat, warning whatever - Hospital?? I dunno, I dont know what he did to P you off. (I'm sure he didnt spill your coffee though, must have been bad)

I dont buy that crap about being ex Mil means you should be more restrained, I worked in Aldershot for 3 months, and the mad F\/CKERS in the pubs were all ALWAYS up for a row. so little discipline there then

Does it make you unprofessional, I dont think so, you were in a pub. Not in front of your client.

We all cock up now and then, you got dealt a rough deal by the sound of it, thats a shame.

You'll get over it no doubt. If you're as good at your job as you think you are, you'll be working as soon as you want to be mate.

thats just my opinion. You did what you thought needed doing.

And good luck in the comp

Steve

lol

like the pic mate, Nabba comp is for the finals and the pre contest there is a wide range entering, non substance users and substance users, in sum contests they test and in others they dont.

thx again for the back up, u no who you are

karl

oh and by the way Karl, Your sig is outta date now !!

LOL, sorry mate, couldnt resist it

Steve

I'll get straight on with changing that then mate, dont wanna be outta date.

lol

Not sure what comp your doing then because NABBA never test ever. Infact they never have historically since they started in the fifties. If you are doing the NABBA finals then I hate to be the bearer of bad news but everyone including most of the audience are on growth. Come to think of it NABBA's only semi pro event is the PRO AM and I dont think your find any natural competitors there. You did say you were semi pro didnt you?

I presume your confused due to lack of carbs.

I'm gona be unpopular again, for a change and get in the guys corner. just read through some of the replies and there seems to be more than a few in the trade, and ex mill, lots of critisysm and not much advice for his next move.

Me I couldnt fight me way outa a rice paper bag without "tools", but I do know where Karl is comming from.

Hows about you give him some serious advice on his next move as yoour all in the trade, think he knows he stuffed up. If you all think back, its a bloody hard transition from mill to civ and even the best of us cock it up somewhere along the line.

Sorry but something dont add up. If I'm wrong then my bad, but the guy asked:D

yes i did ask mate but i think unless u have been in the mil and had that closeness and team work and that reliability with each other. u carnt really comment and as for the comps im on about, u need to learn more about them or even come down and see a few of them, and stop trying to catch me out, i thought were all mates on this site but at the mo i see a few people not doing that. i just asked for peoples opinun, not to be judged.

as for the rest of you that have supported me i thank you and hope to see you ALL at jap fest, no bad feelings i hope.

Now wats the best way to wire up an Apexi boost controller.

I understand where your coming from mate, never bin in the forces, but found myself in a similar situation years ago, trouble is in that sort of situation, when the pressure is on you tend to do what you do best, maybe you should think about goin and seeing the guy at hospital and appologising. might stick in your throat to do this, but might save anyone taking it any further. I no pride comes before a fall but that fall can be verrrrry expensive! trust me i no

I did 14 years in the army and ive been out for 3 years now and im fine, One of my work mates is ex para and he`s fine to! I also worked for MAC1 for 6 years on the doors and there is one major thing he taught me......THINK before you swing! I know what damage MAC can do with his fists as ive seen it many times, OR IS IT FIST as it only usually takes one! LMAO , No seriously in the words of patrick swayze in Road House......You dont have the right temprement for the trade!!! I know alot of ex special forces lads and they never brag or tell you about it....The sign of a true proffesional. :o :o :o

i was'nt bragging mate so i dont know were u got that from. and as for been in the wrong trade who are u to tell me that, have u seen me work do u know me at all............ NO i thought not, sorry to be so harsh but a few of u on here have really got to me now, like is said i only wanted advice, if u was in for 14 yrs u must miss the lads and found it abit hard changing over, unless u really wasnt commited to it and u wanted to be a civi, i loved it, i was so keen it was sick, on weekends i didnt go out on the piss like 70% of them. i was one of the 30% in my unit that was out tabbing, running, training and giving my self things to better me......

the only reason myself and alot of use are leaving now is because of the big cash we can earn out in Iraq........

once again sorry if i have offended anyone but i just wanted to get it off my chest , then we got sum people on here who thought they had the right to judge me.

If ya dont like the critisizm then keep it to ya self fella, You just proved my point by losing ya rag! :nono: :nono:

Karl, no ones judging you at all. I'm asking questions because things you say dont add up, so I have to ask myself if your talking *****cks or not.
