I'm trying to get xenon bulbs but having no joy

Hi Animal the bulbs you are after are Two new H3C 3400K bulbs, made in Japan. Very expensive (PIAA are £23 each plus VAT and shipping) and difficult to find in this country, for example you can't get them from Halfords or any other car store i tried. These Xenon 55W bulbs produce alot more light than the standard ones (equivalent to 100W), but unlike some others dont draw any more current so you wont overheat your lamp housing or damage wiring. I have a pair of these in my imported Z32 Nissan 300zx. They fit the dipped beam and have made a big difference, whiter and brighter. You can see nothing with the standard dipped beam, people who are sitting in the car at night think you only have the side lights on. They also fit imported nissan s13 and s14, honda preludes, the toyota highlander and most other imports.

you can get them from Ebay user id wonderyupie . He is currently not advertising them but he was selling quite a few so he might still have some worth a try. Cheers mate if cannot get i can send you info on converting H3 bulbs. cheers mate.

Hi again

have found my receipt for the PIAA bulbs - £57.58 incl. VAT + Delivery for two

Expensive but as has already been said a HUGE improvemnet over stock.

Got them from http://www.priracing.com (0161) 718 6721

Of course there is always the headlight conversion to enable use of standard and widely available H3's

Hope this helps

:D cheers for the help guys much appreciated.

A cheaper and IMO better upgrade is to convert to UK bulbs by adding the earth wire (do a search for how to), then use the H3 bulb which the UK car does. You can get a wider choice of bulb then - go for Osram Super +30% from http://www.powerbulbs.com for only £14.50.

I had these on my UK car prior to the ID conversion and they were excellent - every bit as good as PIAAs for a fraction of the cost.

Richard ;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I might be wrong, but im sure a few of out traders do replacement (better) bulbs

In fact im sure of it

hi

jap spec bulbs can be got from Mike Feeney at mjp on the forum , i bought a couple last year for around £20 each which is quite reasonable.

Nah .... See the light with DTA-Motorsport HID Kits! £280, straight forward "plug-n-play" installation and beats any other halogen/quasi-xenon bulb out there! ;)

CheerZ,

Dan
