Heard some odd things about this place. Your car will roll uphill with the handbrake off.

 

Not too sure about this myself, so want to find it and give it a go.

 

Anyone know where it is? So far got it narrowed down to Epping forrest??????

it looks like your rolling uphill but the road leading up to it is a very steep downhill, better of going to Cop,s hall, and old derelict house

Well its been a few weeks with this one. Nearly time for a change dont you think :D

Yeah been there in my younger days.

 

If you a pi$$ed passenger you'd be amazed but it's pretty obvious that you are actually on a downhill slope so not really that impressive.

 

Only problem with that area is that its a very well know crack ed spot.

And if you're (un)lucky you might bump into Rod Stewart (or his mrs :dance: :shock: ) - his mansion in Epping is on the Copped Hall Estate. (Copped Hall for the un-enlightened, is the derelict house with the big chimneys you can see from the M25 between Waltham Abbey and the M11)

 

I remember taking a walk there a few years back and peering through the hedge of a house almost next to Rod's. The residents and their mates were playing croquet - in the nude!! :shock:

We have a mini version locally. It's weird once, dull twice.

the place with the hill that you roll up is at high beach epping, if your at the top of the hill looking down to the town, its down the road to the left of you, past the pub, then you come to a bend in the road that goes left, just as you hit the bend look to your right its there, its just an optical mind blower, the hill is going down but with the surrounding trees and fence it looks as if you are going up it, when you get there you will see wot i mean, we could link this thread to the beer and ruby nite and meet at the pub on the hill over the easter week end..?

I used to go there years ago, it is an optical illusion but still quite funny, i cant direct you but if we arrange a mini meet i can show you where it is, cant do the easter weekend though as I am off to Norfolk give the zed a nice blast :hyper:

 

Bary not to sure with your directions as its about five mins drive from the big pub facing high beach and pretty sure you cant see it??? So maybe this is a good excuse for a meet :D

 

As for Copped hall used to always go there and climb in thorugh the smallest holes and follow the tunnels around proper scary, but evertime we came out the police would be waiting for us :headvswal
