Hi, Just bought my 300zx twin Turbo Jap import 1 month ago but now it sometimes smokes when sitting in traffic (when idling) its fine when its going along.

 

It only smokes sometimes at Idle - not always. Any Ideas guys.

you sure its not blue smoke!!

 

if its black normally means over fueling

 

blue=oil,does it smoke out of the exhausts on full boost as that could indicate rear turbo seals or at best pcv valves need replacing

no its definately black smoke, there is no smaoke at all when driving (even at 7000rpm), could it be something to do with the fuel pressure regulator ???

fuel pressure regulator if faulty would give of white smoke and smell rather fuely,id get it checked out im not 100%sure

 

grey/blue=indicates oil

white=condensation if for short periods

white=fuel pressure reg if for prolonged periods

black=?

I'll get it checked - thanks for the help
