What is the best way to get rid of the speed limiter?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Zcentre do a Speed Delimiter and speedo convertor. The other way it to performance Chip the ECU which also removes the limiter.

Thanks for the advice Legrath,I read on a post that the speedo convertor can affect

other systems on the car ,have you tried any or can you recommend any make.

Get the one from the Z centre if you are not going to chip the car, Luke will even fit it for you if you ask him nicely...;):D

i just had an aftermarket chip and fitted an apexi rsm which reads up to 320kph,sod those dodgy de-limiters,even better fit a set of uk clocks :)

I personally would go with the delimiting on the chip, and a set of uk clocks, having had problems with delimiters before, tho I know that some people swear by them

Thanks for that Jock,do you have any advice on a good chip, keeping standard pipes

with maybee a decat kit

Thanks Greg but whats an apexi rsm.

its ok mate,go for as jock says a set of uk clocks and an aftermarket chip if you want to remove the limited speed

apexi rsm is not really needed i bought it for gadgetry it reads out speed rpm battery voltage 0-60times 1/4mile times etc, besides i couldnt find a set of uk clocks and im use to reading in kph anyhow

Thanks for that greg ,I take it that just a set of uk clocks will not do it,and I must chip it as well?

no you can just fit uk clocks and it will read in mph the engine will still be limited to 112mph,so if you fit a safe aftermarket chip then there will be no limiter, therefor you can do any speed within reason :) an aftermarket chip will slightly raise the rpm limiter aswell some more than others i think

a jwt chip is a safe bet remember without fitting a boost controller a chip alone wont give you any aditional bhp,but will change the mapping to run more boost safely!!

cheers greg
