Looks like those "car bra" things - the Yanks put them on whilst driving the car to stop stone chips. ;)

Yeh, I;ve never understood Yanks fascination with fitting Car bra's.

 

Why Drastically ruin the front end of your car, just to prevent stonechips slighly ruining the front end of yoru car

 

Plus the things cost more than it costs to get stone chips repaired a few times.
