really thinking of buying a ps2 just for this game. I got a fully modded xbox already and see you can get a hdd for the ps2. couple of quick questions if you dont mind.

 

does the hdd plug into your pc and you connect over ethernet to play games from it?

Chipping - has anyone had it done. I aint got a prob buying gt4 but some of the older games Im not fussed about. Does the swap disk trick work?

 

Is there a particular ps2 to avoid?

Unless you have the fastest internet connection i wouldnt bother with it.....Just not up to it otherwise.

 

GT4 is better but its not that different from GT3....other than cars and tracks.

 

Bit dissapointed as there seems to be less options to tuning your car on certain vehicles.

 

And some of the music is Poo :xxx:

 

All in all its still the best driving game out there for simulator style.

 

Just dissapointed that a game with soooooooooooooooooooo many cars on it they were still unable to put probably the most famous of cars on there like Ferrari F40 or lambo's.

You plug the network adapter into your playstation 2.

You plug your harddrive into your network adapter.

You use a network cable to plug your playstation 2 into your pc and share your pc's modem.

You cannot play online from your harddrive (must run off CD/DVD)

 

Does the swap trick work?? GT4 cannot be 'backed up' (yet)

My PS2 is chipped and causes me no bother what-so-ever.

Just bought a ps2 off a mate

Its one of the older black ones (without the ethernet connection)

Its also been chipped (he paid £80 just for the chip a whiule ago - told me its a good one :) - He hardly ever used it so I told him Id have it

 

Paid him £80 for it :D thats with 2 controllers, a memory card and a couple of games - RESULT :)
