Question For Smithy

Hi Smithy

Just wanted ask how did you clean the filters in your turbo breather kit. I would be grateful for any help as my kit has been on quite a few months now and I have not cleaned them yet (did not know how!!!).

I didn't know either, until 1 day tinkering around i knocked the filter out of the tube and as it banged around in engine bay, it came apart, so just cleaned it with kichen roll and engine cleaner spray, me thinks being plastic, they are a bit flimsy,i might have found same filters, but made better, will know next week, smithy

Thanks for the reply Smithy. There seems to be four filters. Two larger ones splitting into three pipes and two smaller one going off these on each side. Did you clean all of these or just the larger ones?. Could I just spray the cleaner in then wash it out as I don't seem to be able to split them in two???. I would be interested if you could get replacements for some spares.

yeah this is what i want to know, i have disasembled the bigger units and they seem fine, the drivers sides one has these funny silver guazes and the passenger side one has nothing ???

i dont understand but thats how it is

I spoke to Johhny boy yesterday and he said that he has never cleaned the filters on his car. He did say he would make some enquiries and let me know if they do need regular cleaning. How did you get the larger filter apart Wazzer, mine is stuck solid ?????. Was it a bit shitty inside when you took it apart?
