Its not the bodyshop that bothers me Allan Its this that may take the time............

It shouldn't take them too long hopefully, mine was done in a week with 1 whole day spent on just the mapping alone (maybe yours will take longer ??) but it takes as long as it takes and lets face it after what you have spent on it the job has gotta be absolutely spot on for the engines safety.

Three cars in the body shop all in differant places,Mine Shunter and GetGreddy wonder who will be last out

Mines been in there 2 months :( still another to go i'd say :wack:

Judging by what's been done, this car will take off so quick it'll leave it's red paint behind :D - Back to primer  oops I mean silver

Shaun as much as I can get;) Skylines? BEWARE :nana2:

Why did you not spend your money on something stupidly fast to start of with, im sure with the amount you spent on the zed you could have a nice Noble. And you would be in a club of like minded people with too much cash on their hands, rather than us lot who have to scrimp and save to just fix the bits that break.

Ok where do I start?????????????????

Whats it got to do with you what I spend my money on?

First of all I did not set out to spend over 55k on a 300zx however I can say in all honesty I have really enjoyed building this car to my very own spec.

Noble? NO THANKS :hurl: really nice track car but not my cup of tea at all.

I really do like my 300 and to be really honest nothing else does it for me

Skyline NO

Supra Double NO

A friends Porche NO

Infact I am struggling to think what I would like to replace the car with.

First of all I NEVER look down my nose at people that are less fortunate than myself I have given many parts away for peanuts and sometimes for free.

However judging by your comments that you have to scrimp and scrape just to fix the bits that break do you not think that you are owning the wrong car?

No way would I scrimp and scrape over a car I have far more important things in my life that come before a piece of metal,my kids!

Oi bro, less of your cheek! or it'll be :mac1: ;)

I had a very similiar conversation with Phil (Spinksy) when he came over last saturday. You can pretty much tell some of the people on the forum that shouldnt really own this car, as Mac says....at the end of the day, it is just a piece of metal.....

If you are single and earning over 20K+ then you can afford to RUN this car.

If you are single, living at Mum and Dads, earning 20K+, then you can afford to RUN and MOD this car....

If you are married with kids and not earning over £30k a year, then this is the wrong car to own....

It has the potential to make a 'well off' person struggle....

All IMHO of course.....

I should know, I have been through thick and thin with my money and this car. Finally, I am in a position to start some serious work on her...watch this space.... ;)

i live with my partner 2kids and a z iv spent almost 10k on my z and earn a very poor wage, but my kids come first then the z,i love my z and i treat it like one of my children trust me i think some days WTF but my heart is with the 300zx,and thats what makes me a happy:)

so il keep saving the pennies for more mods for my beloved z

That took you a long time

Surely it's our prerogative what any one of us do or spend on our Zeds and to have someone come on here and tell any of us that we're doing the wrong thing ain't too nice. If nothing else, isn't it interesting to watch a unique Z being built and doesn't it provide the inspiration to other members to do likewise and keep the Z spirit alive?

My message probably came acroos a tad too harsh, it was aimed to be 'ADVICE' rather than 'INSTRUCTIONS'.

Apologies if it came across wrong...

Yeah, her front door is always open to you and only you, unless someone else forces entry of course.

She'll let you play with her headlights, box & exhaust pipe without so much as a 'I've got a headache!"

You can give her a good thrashing & she'll want for more! She does like to smoke afterwards though which I'm not so keen on

I think I'm in love with my Zed :)
