im thinking of putting these on my engine rebuild

http://www.totalseal.com/

has anyone used them before??

is it a good idea to use them or should i just stick with the origional nissan set up new ofcourse!!

I have heard they have to be installed by some experienced in doing so or they can cause problems!

They lok like the old cord rings, which can be a pig to tur ver the first time ( have seen people tow cars round a yard in gear). I would stick with nissan bud :)

Dont touch 'em with a ten foot stick !!

I realise Im biased, but they cost me a fortune on my skyline and whilst they could have worked if installed better they certainly arent something I would ever recommend to anyone.

In my engine's previous state of build I had totalseal rings - Very little in it actually beween them and OEM rings, except they took a little longer to bed in. i.e engine was a little smokey for about 700 miles. However I'm currently running JE pistons with JE rings - and oil control is perfect. No smoke from day one.

Hope this helps

Simon.
