every used car gets cheaper year by year (with some exceptions) but the price of new Japanese sports cars is'nt helping.

 

Dealers are still asking £5.5k + for average examples

 

I personally would'nt buy a Zed for less than £4k anyway for a stock early example....and thats very very cheap for what u get.

 

We need to get the Zed back into Popular demand....its films like "Fast and the Furious" :rolleyes: that did it for the Supra, Rx7..etc

 

Roll on TOTB05...and lets get some of our finer examples into the Magazines !

ALL used cars are worth less & less these days,

 

prices of new cars are cheaper than ever (relativly speaking) & finance is also cheaper than ever before, hence more new cars are being bought dropping used car prices!

6 years ago you would have to pay between 8K and 16K for a late UK car so I recon my 94 UK has lost a lot more than a grand a year.

its not just the z's.......soups and r33's can be had for plenty cheapness these days also.its just the z was at the front of the queue so it takes a quicker nosedive and with import insurance being even worse now than it was 4 yrs ago people are just offloading them as with every other piece of jap erotica......its a shitter for those who are now stuck with 20k plus motors but for the discerning buyer you can make a killing

It's also a bad time of year for sports cars - winter months and 4x4s are in demand.

 

There should be a slight upturn in spring (hopefully :rolleyes: )

I have to agree with Pete comments above. But also these types of cars in general are falling in price, I mean you can now pick up a 3 gen RX7 for around 4k now.

Do you think this forum can with is 100+ members can change the cost of the several hundreds of 300ZXs for sale now, and afftect the Japanese export market who are selling them at very cheap prices?

 

The price of the cars started to go down as the Japanese import business grew.

We should ask Mike what the unique hits is per month ;) How many new members appear after having just bought a zed, saying they'd read the forum for a while...
