Hello all,

As loads of people have now go the G-techs from Chris :D I thought i'd start a thread for people to post up results (dont know if this is the right section but am sure one of the mods can correct me :D )

I'll start:

TT Auto- Mods: Central 20 chip, Stillen Induction, Boost Jets 13psi, back boxes (but with two holes in pipe :headvswal )

Conditions: V. Cold (roads bit slippy)

0-60 best so far 5.33 (with spin and back end twitching :D ) by normal pull away in D (not left foot holding the break)

BHP: 246 using weight of 3200lbs I think under weight so should will be more when i do the correct weight. Anyone????

As yet to test the other functions.

Cheers all and happy testing very expensive on fuel doing all this testing

Ant :hyper:

Nice 0-60 time. I'd be interested to know the braking and the 1/4 mile times you get too.

Weight quite a bit out....

TT Stock Kerb Weights :

SWB - 3,414 Ibs (1548 kg)

LWB Manual - 3,495 Ibs (1585 kg)

LWB Auto - 3,516 Ibs (1594 kg)

Top man thanks mate really needed the correct weight.

Will test the others next weekend providing the weathers ok

Waheey so as i underweighed i should get a even higher figure, it says in the book the BHP will always be lower on the G-tech than a rolling road due to drag and turbos produce peak power in high gears and the Gtech uses the speed to 60 for its reading but am i right in saying that 246 (now going to be higher with correct weight) is approx 340 at the fly??

Cheers mate.

I think 20% more for Flywheel bhp is a rough figure for the zed.......giving you 295bhp at the fly.....but with the right weight that will be quite a bit more...

and ill let you know the N/A results

Oh good, a comparison

Had a play with the GTech yesterday(sunday), and been getting some good results taking in consideration that the car is a standard auto 1990 tt, with just an Apexi air filter.the car is running about 8psi on full boost (after replacing all the boost/vacum pipes).

average 0-60mph =6.1 sec (did do 1 run and get 5.8)

average 60-0mph = 118 feet

The BHP is something that i aint got right yet as its only showing 101 ? (was putting the weight in as kilo's.....Doohh)

Side G Force max was 1.9 at the start of a DUFFNUT.

Aint got around yet to the 1/4 Mile.

0-60 7.1 1/4 mile 15.05 @ 104 LOL, nearly crashed at the start as back end kicked righ out so had to take foot off gas straighten her up and then boot it again. maybe i should try a set of light that arnt directly followed by a left hand bend LOL Twin Turbo by the way incase u think its an NA with those times LOL

GOES TO SHOW SILVER ZS ARE SLOOOOOW

I did 6.1 secs with my G-tech in completetly stock car, but that was when it had nearly bald Jap 225 rubber and I had far too much spin, and it was snaking down the road in 1st gear.

Have since sold the g-tech, and installed Nissan Datascan software on the in-car computer which does similar tests, by monitoring the ECU Speed signal sensor. Will do some runs in the dry soon with 255 F1 Rubber.

Also got a 14.8 secs 0-60 ! in the Wifes Scenic 1.6

LOL nah full throttle and a slightly damp road does not mix. My car used to be so much easier to get off the line before i upped the boost

  • 2 weeks later...

250 :D stock boost, leaking fuel injector, blowing zorst.....and AUTO lol

  • 9 months later...

I'e also one, i will try it tomorrow.

I've took the weight of my 2+2 300zx with half fuel and nobody inside, it gave just 1600 kg on the balance.

Also, does it give the power in HP or Kw??

I tried the Gtech performance meter before. This was on my MR2:

First run - 24 bhp

Second run - 764 bhp

0-60 - never stopped timing (could be right though, lol)

I thought the thing was totally rubbish, ill give it a shot again. More funny that anything else.

Dave G

to get the 0-60 time you need to slow back down before you get to 1/4 mile or it will keep calculating.

I have only had one shot at a timed run. The unit was as i had it from Simon when i bought the Zed, so don't know about weight.

We managed (2 up) 0-60 6.4, 1/4 in 15. something cant remember now and terminal speed @1/4 mile of 103mph. Dry and bear in mind i can't rev and hold brake, as i use hand controls ! :headvswal

Look out the Pod I am comming; it's the best and safe way to do it !!...................Right ! lets find a quiet road guys !
