Just arrived home from Santa Pod. I took the Z down the quarter mile but times were not good cos the track was very cold and not very sticky, plus there was snow on and off. Not that i'm making excuses. Ooops on my third run the car flicked its back end I lost her and had a spectacular crash with sparks and everything as I hit the wall. I think I worried the guy in the other lane as i plunged accross the track towards his wall. I am fine but the Lady was not so lucky, my rear end is squashed and half my paintwork lives on the wall at Pod. Anyhow cheers to the guys from the club for moral support and sympathy it was much appreciated. I will see you back at Pod next time

nasty, at least you're fine and the car can be fixed / replaced

I have pics and video I am gonna put them on e-bay to the highest bidder to pay for repairs...or you can make a donation at http://www.repairmybitch.co.uk :smash: :smash:

I am fine thanks :D :D

The only thing hurt was my pride, I was just pulling in front of that Evo, I will get him next time

I will have a look at the Lady tomorrow to see the damage properly, I guess the NOS octane booster was not such a good idea, wait till the track has more grip and try it again

Bummer....sorry to hear bad news#

Chris

 Damn, sorry to hear that - sounds like your keeping your spirits up though (good on yer). I'm sure you'll be back, you can't keep a good girl down ;).

Glad you're ok though.

:( Bloody hell, not good news, sorry to hear that ya Lady is a bit dented :( but cars can be fixed or replaced:D i am just glad you are ok there Lady S/fry.

Hope it all gets sorted soon for ya :D

Matt

sorry to hear about this, glad you safe, which is the main thing of course :)

im sure you will be flying down the pod v.soon

all the best greg

Bummer that was a nice looking zed glad your ok

Sorry to hear your car got a bit of a bash.

I was there yesterday but left at about 4 as I was on a bike and it was freezing. I must have missed the fireworks!

The track did seem really slippery.

Glad you're ok and hope the car comes back together ok.

I witnessed Lady smallfry's "incident" on Sat night and it looked very scary indeed.

This is the first time I have seen racing in the (pitch) dark at the Pod. There is no way im doin that!

I take my hat off to Lady Smallfry, who is one very brave Lady indeed.

Im just so glad you were OK.

Get it fixed and come back as soon as funds are available.

In a sport that is normally dominated by males it is so refreshing to meet and see such a charming young lady.

Cheers Pete, I am gonna get her to the bodyshop tomorrow for an extreme makeover and she will be back on the track as soon as I can manage it.

I need a new bumper so donations are always welcome :)

In the meantime I have a days driving experience at Silverstone shortly in the Caterham and single seater car so i will see if I can keep those on the track, there are no walls in the way there

wot a bummer, i'm glad you are ok, its not nice to hear these sort of things happening to your pride and joy, i think vijay has a free back bumper, it just needs collecting from him.

I know its no help but i know how you are feelling as i have done the same thing at the pod 7yrs ago, hit the wall at the half way point when i flicked on the Nitros and totaled the car (nissan silvia).

Get back to a track ASAP and dont let it get to ya, we are all here if you need help/advice, as you allready know this has got to be the best forum on the net when you need help, just ask.

And as a polite suggestion, just get that back subframe, suspension very thoroughly checked for any allignment probs/damage. It was a VERY BIG BANG!

On the bumper scene , if you dont find one near home i think MantaV8, my good buddy close to me in Nottingham, has one available. Probably one geourgous smile will do the trick??

Darren ???? are you there . knight in shining armour??? Damsell in distress???

sorry to hear that ladt smallfry , Hope ur ok and the zed will be back soon!! By the way does that website actually work as it dosent for me ??

Sorry but I was on an adrenalin rush last night, the website was a joke but I am seriously considering creating one. Desperate times call for desperate measures.........I didn't hear the bang from inside but I will get the suspension and chassis checked over, she is a tough little beastie
