NZR but how do they work out prices for private plates?

Looking for a MAC plate for the beast but how can a single letter cost THOUSANDS? :nono: How can they justify this?

MAC 1E £16494

MAC 1P £3600

MAC 1T £26500

How much do you reckon this is worth ?

J30 ODT (or J300 DT) ?

Its weird huh!! Use the DVLA site MAC. A lot cheaper than anywhere else. I got my plate from there. Was at least 20% cheaper than other places i tried.

the top and bottom ones Mac will read as full names ie MAC1E

and with the correct dots can be made to look different

if your looking for ones like that m8, check out the irish plates

theres a guy who does them on ebay, he sorts all the transfer etc for you and costs £300-£400 , BUT i dont think they have reached M, my m8 got a DAZ one from him, and when i enquired he told me they hadnt reached L the one i wanted:(

this is the guy mate, anyone wants one worth trying as he is helpful and no scammer

Hi

Then they charge VAT + 80 pounds transfer!

I thought 825 was a rip off for E2 ART. Then after VAT +trans =1045!

Arthur

My plate B16 KTP was valued at £800. Which is more than I think its worth. Though if its worth that much i might sell it LOL.

I got mine valued... but that's just what they will advertise it for - no sale, no cash!

regtransfers told me I would get £500 from them or so, and they advertised it for £750

But if you look on their site,

K300 MRP - £750

K300 ??? - £299 I think...

Odd

If anyone wants to offer me ANYTHING for this plate, money or swap, I'll consider it

Obviously, dont offer me a kick in the backside though!! LOL

Thanks bud I will check it out;)

I've got a private Irish plate on the Mister 2 and was thinking about transferring it to the Z but to be honest I can't be @rsed and it will just cost loadsa money I would rather spend elsewhere... e.g. hookers and a phat bag of crack! PMSL :D :D

Timmy, wouldnt it just cost you the transfer fee, and a new set of plates for the MR2?

Once you trans the reg no. to the Z, the MR2 will just be reassigned an age related number for free... I did that years ago

Yeah could do mate, not sure I can be bothered though, I think I might just buy a cheap Irish Z plate for the Z in due course. Or if Iain decides to get another plate for his Z he can sell me his. ;)

I only need 5k for my new one so make me an offer for my old one,and NO I dont want a hooker or a bag of crack in PX :nono:

Ive been told in the past that you can't use a plate that would make your vehicle appear younger, is this is the case?

I dunno mate, will speak to you about that later if you want. Would be nice to know that your Z plate is moving over from the original MAC1 Stillen Beast to the Timmy Turbine MAC2 Stillen Beast! ROFLMFAO :D

Thats correct Dave

Ive been told in the past that you can't use a plate that would make your vehicle appear younger, is this is the case?

Ype this is True. Mines tecnically a G Reg, so i can use any plate upto and including G. So if i wanted K300 MAR I could not put it on my zed.

Surprising or maybe not is the feckers check the DVLA site then offer the plate as if they already owned it when its still on DVLA unissued. Mate got one for £500 off DVLA with transfer etc in after one of the privateers offered him the exact same plate for a grand plus transfer etc. He assumed it was sold but I got hijm to check the DVLA site and it was there. One thing to make a profit another to take advantage. So check dvla first and last. Also some traders sell a plate they dont own then they trace it to the owner (wonder how??) and try to buy it for less of course and months can go by meantime - one trader was in the press about the number of times he did this and all the ccjs and court claims against him from customers he stiffed.

No mate, don't think so. You couldn't put a private plate on with anything after your registration.

When I had a PP for sale the dealers told me it was valued at 1200

It was on my car at the time.

They the dealers said, they would buy it off me for 300 quid FFS!
