hi people just got home and on the way a red light on the dash came on think it could be the cat light but dont now for shure anyway travelling along steady pace at 3000 rpm and this light came on and car started to make noise grumbling sound and started to hesitate slowed down then speed up again and it cleared light went out and car was fine for rest of journey. can any body shed some light on this for me its a z32 on a 92 j plate non turbo import cheers

Yep, this sounds like you're starting to have a problem with one, or more, coil pack connectors.

What maybe happening, is that either the clip(s) that hold it(them) tight to the coil pack is broken, and therfore allowing it to loosen itself and break the contact, or the wires are corroding and thus the electrical conectivity is breaking down.

Answer = 1) Buy new coil pack connectors individually from somewhere like www.boostpro.net

or 2) buy a coil pack connector repair kit from one of our traders on this site.
