Dash LED / bulb replacement

Just put a "how to" for replacing the aircon / headlight binnacle bulbs with LEDs into the electrical faq section - hope it's ok :)

Hmmmmm, very good write-up mate. Nicely written, good pics :D

Would like to give this a try, along with the dash lights aswell :D

Well done mate   :duffer:

Thanks guys :)

The pics loaded fine on my backup PC (just tested) so I don't know what's going on there mate.

I didn't do the bulbs behind the dials as I'm getting an indiglo dial set from Vijay's GB! :D :hyper:

Excellent - another job to go on my ever increasing "List of Things To Do"

At least this one is cheap (providing nothing gets broken in the process) if a little time consuming - how long did it take you ???

Took me an age mate! Most of that was figuring out the polarity of the bulb contacts as I'd left my multimeter at work and I didn't want to short anything by cack-handedly putting LEDs onto live contacts!

The actual soldering took about an hour per side, with breaks for running fingers under the cold tap...

One thing I did learn though, was that conventional wiring colours don't apply here!

Nice write up mate. Another job to add to the list.

I've just done mine today, and i have to say what a great job....its so good, evenb in day light you can see the light so clear...i used super bright blue, and they rock..

I have to say, it was sooo easy to do having the instructions to follow...

thank you mate
