I'm putting me side lights in with the 99'spec indicators-just wondering if this is ok legal-wise?

Where's Paul when you need him?

Wouldn't have thought it a problem as the fogs combine the side lights!-if you know better t'wud be appreciated! :)

I've had my front side lights (amber) and rear side lights (red) in situ for over three years now. Only every had one comment from an MOT mechanic. His mate was quick to point out that most new cars (like the Volvo S40 standing next to him) had them standard ... Problem solved ;)

Of course the above is IMHO and the law might state otherwise. But aren't rules meant to be broken?

Cheers mate!

Danny

Legally, all side markers i believe, should only be Amber/ orange........

If you see the volvo's, they are orange.

But, my zed passed with red rear ones, so depends on the mot guy.

My other car, has just passed an mot with red indicators at the rear, so you can get away with it mate

the MOT states that the sidelight must be white to the front or yellow if incorporated in a yellow headlamp

if you keep them clear in the indicators then it shouldnt be a problem anyway as the indicators are a smoked lens with yellow bulbs on a 99 spec.

any reason why you dont just leave them in the foglamps??

Sounds good-Cheers Paul!-errr reason is I'm fitting Hella fog lamps-now the original idea was to put the side lights in these, until i found that the reflector is glass[nissan is metal].....so just the fogs at the front and side lights in the flasher lamps then! :D
