OH BOLLOCKS.. i knew glens uber fast DSL line would catch up with my slow 56k. Bit like Z's really DSL = auto 56k = manual

  • 3 weeks later...

But manuals are still better - none of this "What does this button do" or "Do I have to fit an extra oil cooler" crap biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

superguy.jpg BUFF MAN 300ZX SUPER HERO!!!! or is that DUFFMAN????

autos have their place, but not in my garage.

A mate and I bought both of our TTZ's 3 months apart, he lived literally 200m down the road from me. We both have got 2 seaters, he's got the lighter slick top. His is auto mines manual.

After 3.5 years he's gotten sick of seeing my number plate infront of him and bought a Manual TTZ with more mods than mine (bastard).

He gets the initial jump (always), but as soon as I hook up I reel him in and pass him (always). I've had more money to play with as whilst his auto rebuild has cost him shitloads I put a lightweight flywheel and clutch in for less than his rebuild, and I went even quicker at that. Hehehe. Yes I'm an utter bastard.

He reckons mine has always had more "snap" in gear which the auto just can't hope to match. As far as a sports car goes I won't have an auto. BUT if I wanted a nice daily driver that I wasn't too fussed about being rapid I would've bought an Auto. Around the city centre (now where we both live but he's about 1km away..howzat) an auto would be a definitely plus.

I guess the telling thing is he ditched his auto for the manual.

PS: The only good *cough* rubber removal *cough* excercises I've seen done have been in autos. So thats one plus.

Muwhahahahahaha no one could have closed this argument off better than Rowan, i am in awe of your abiltiy to tell it like it is wink.gif
