is that the vauxhall engine?

i think it may be...hand tightened dont quote me on that though use some locktite around the headbolts aswell

try phoning you local dealers and ask to speak to someone in their service department ( preferably not the girl on the reception )

My mate had to do this for the timing settings on the 2Ltr version as there was no manual available for this car ............ they were very helpful .. surprisingly .. worth a phone call

I looked at a Daewoo and the engine looked EXACTLY the same as the one I had in the Astra I has t the time.

Hi Shunter ive just checked my Autodata CD and here are the settings.

stage 1 tighten 25NM

stage 2 tighten 60 deg

stage 3 tighten 60 deg

stage 4 tighten 30 deg

stage 5 run engine 80deg C

stage 6 tighten30-50 deg

Also make sure you use new bolts.
