over the past year ive only driven my zx tt 1k miles .In that time its had a full service ,new o2 sensors ,cambelt fitted ,after spending 3k on the car ive now noticed thick white smoke coming from the exhausts its a jap import with a bomex exhaust system the car drives fine any ideas what the problem could be cheers also the turbo boost is fine

White smoke normally water vapour...Might of built up in exhaust system if u dont do many miles.

If your not loosin water id suspect this to be the case.

 

If it dissapears quickly(evaporates)in air then its more likely to be water than oil as oil is normally black/blue and hangs low to the ground.

 

Give ur Z the drive it deserves and see if it clears up.

 

Other site gurus may have a difintive answer 4 u..

as the above states^^^ if it clears very quickly then its steam mines like a bonfire but hey 6"zorst what you expect.

 

is engine temp reading normal at running temps

does it smoke after a long run once fully warmed

are you loosing coolant

is there any sludge oil in your rad

 

if no to the above then dont worry condensation is normal

mine has white smoke on start up when cold. i too dont do many miles. this has usually stoped buy the time i've done 2 or so miles. steady miles that is

cheers ,checked oil ,water etc all fine ,will take it out this weekend for a long run .thanks for your help
