Chris, Did you find out anything else about the car?

I changed the fuel lines yesterday (great set of Smithys Fuel Lines)

I discovered the bloody engine is a "bolt magnet"

If I put a bolt down, the next thing I knew, the bugger had jumped somewhere inaccessible, and even with a magnetic screwdriver I couldnt find the soddin' things!!

 

Still, nothing important so never mind, and hey, my fuel smell has gone too

I changed the passenger side turbo in situ and had to ask my 17 yr old daughter twice to start off bolts for me !!! :)

 

You are lucky tho, When I was working on it outside, (as I dont have a garage), it was really windy and the wind rattled off the bonnet and lifted it off the bonnet stay. Yup, you guessed it, bonnet came down and broke my index finger !!! :hurl:

 

Still in love with it tho !! ;)

Will give you a clue M8 Take the car to the zed center or another garage to do the work. then you will not get cut hands doing DIY on your car. Sorry if you need all this text to get what I said :headvswal :D

Sorry no did not get what he said. Have not had any work done on me Zed yet, only full service at a local garage. Would like to bling it up a bit but dont know what to do to it. So much info on here but dont want to blow me engine up. Need to know more about mods before i get started.

Dont thing I will spend as much as Bee Gee :shock: But I would if me numbers come up :dance:

neil, zed centre dont do engine work/servicing/etc.

 

besides theres few things more rewarding than working on your own 300 yourself, it might take longer but you learn so much in the process and save money

Neil AndyZ is proberbly nearest to you and has a good mechanic familiar with Z's.

Hope thats not just put the kiss of Death on ya motor.
