The key keeps getting stuck in the ignition barrel on me auto 300 do they have some electric device stopping the key from being removed?

or does something have to be done with the auto box to be able to remove the key?

cheers

could be the steering wheel is at full lock , this will do it and you have to turn the wheel slightly other way to release , or could be faulty button ( the one u have to press to release key)

Tried the steering wheel in all positions no joy, no luck in park if there is no electronic gaget on it it must be the button fooked

I guess you're put in in and out of 'park' a few times and rocked the car backwards and forwards just in case it frees something off?

i reckon it could be the button experianced it on a few nissans where the long bar attached to the buttoncomes away from its connection,at least you have the key in to remove steering lock,i suggest remove and take a look

managed to get it out by putting it in and out of park a few times and wiggling the key, i'll take it apart at the weekend find out whats up

thanks for all your help guys

I bet you had it in neutral didnt you!! :D You cant fool us

 crappy auto's ;)

could be a sticky shift lock gizmo, check the little plastic thingy on the front of the gear lever has not come loose and tat its movement is not restricted. I had this trouble when i first put my razo on before i worked out what the fook was going on.

yer that was what it was mate, would'nt have this trouble with a nice manual ;)
