Will front calipers fit rear?

If I upgrade my front brake calipers and disks is it possible/easy to fit the old ones to the rear instead of the weedy little ones on there now?

If so does it mess up the brake balance and involve further work?

Think this was asked just recently on the Aus forum and the answer was no.

Unique Autosports did it....

Not sure how though cos the handbrake works on the inside of the disk hat.

LOL

Nothing just yet, just dreaming/planning ahead for when the Z loan is paid off.

I'm going to get another loan to create my dream Z!

Here's my shopping list.

Stillen front.

Strosek Rear/Wide arch kit with round light conversion.

New 18's or 19's with 10.5"+ rears.

Bembo/AP calipers etc etc...

Hmmmm forgot about the handbrake...

I could just leave a brick on the pedal when I get out!

Absolute bugger all use upgrading the rears!!! The fact is that as the car brakes, most of the weight transfers to the front of the car, meaning less weight on the rears so any braking effect is minimal on the back. Best bet is just to upgrade the fronts and work on stainless lines and stopping that bastard master cylinder moving so bloody much!!! Has anyone seen this???

Just one other point - that picture looks like the front of the car - NOT the back biggrin.gif

Me and AndyP were discussing this last Friday while he was demonstrating the fantastic Skylark round-a-bout negotiating technique he can perform in his Z with TC!!! Excellent! wink.gif

Anyway, I was asking him about this as I wanna do something with my calipers, they're Phuket, not so much performance wise but they look like they've recently been raised from the Titanic site and then put on my car. Limpets and barnacles for free! LMAO biggrin.gif

Skylark calipers, front, anyone know how much brand spanking from Nelson??? Need bigger wheels to fit them? Bigger than stock rotors recently purchased from Stillen???

Anyone know tomorrow nights winning lottery numbers...LMFAO biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

If that pic's the front weres the tension rod or steering arm! biggrin.gif

Timmy lad, have a look at the post by kiwi_z(Rowan) it explains the R32 GTR upgrade(including disc size difference), but you can fit the R33 GTR setup (Black Brembos with white writing).

Cost wise not sure but I wouldnt want to get them from a Nelson! I think you may be able to get them from Johnny. Otherwise Skyline tuners like Abbeymotor Sport, GT-ART etc and Hi-Tec got me a price ages ago. Have a look at http://www.gtr.co.uk/ and in the specs page you should find info on the different brakes for the different models with sizes etc.

Yup - got mine from the ginger one biggrin.gif If we're gonna start asking where certain parts are behind that wheel, then where's the fuckin exhaust???? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif And also you'de have a job making that scratch guard hang like that from the back of the car wink.gif
