As you know I'm hoping to be there this time again, but it'll only be on the Sunday, and if everything is working properly (which I hope it will be by then)

But can I just ask (stupid question time ;) ) as I've never been to the Pod, is it like a big car park and we're parked all over the place, or are we all together, or what form does it take?? I ask for all those who feel embarresed to ask themselves ;) :rofl:

LOL, No worries fella, Its dead easy. all yer gotta do is follow the road from the main entrance for about 700metres or so, go behind the barn and then drive a bit further and then when you see a cafe/shop make sure you drive to the left of it or youll be queueing up for the strip, if you get there after 9am, gimme a call and ill direct you once you past the main entrance :D

Its not silly to ask mate. Its silly to not ask.

Santa Pod is based on an old airfield, and there are acres of parking. IF you turn up for a Big Meet or Car Show then the whole place will be jammed with cars making it tricky to find mates ,club cars etc.

However Sat and Sun are just RYWB days . Thats run what ya brung if you dont know. There will not be many people relative to the size so as Chunk says we can all park up somewhere near the Cafe. Remember to dress warm as its Feb and the wind blows at the Pod with a vengance even in August never mind Feb. The Cafe serves good basic and reasonably priced food of the Chips with everything genre.

The whole idea of going early season is to have a social meet and let everyone see what it is all about, so if you dont want to have a go then just watch those who do. Hopefully there will be one or two of the seriously quick cars from this club present to show us the way! Then there will be the also rans(like me) who are just happy to be out there doing something, instead of trailing round IKEA or taking garden rubbish to the tip.

Until you turn up there is no way of knowing what else might be running. Crazy bikes? probably. Other rapid Jap stuff?? Likely. Proper drag cars? well I dunno its a bit early.

Lots of like minded petrolheads having a FUN day out?? Deffo.

 

PS For anyone thinking of having a go for the first time check out the Santa Pod website for info on what to do etc. And dont forget Your Driving Licence

OK peeps, for those wanting the B&B accomidation, there is 1 space left, so far its as follows.........

 

Chunk & Slick Pete in twin room

So, if you want that space be quick, but as the B&B has other spare rooms it shouldn't be a problem if more spaces are needed.

Do you know what time everyone is meeting at the pod and if there is any meets on way (ie services so we can go in convoy)???

Also do i need a ticket or anything like that to get access to the area where you guys will be parked??? (dont want to park on main cp with the ordinary cars)

Nismo, just turn up and pay at the entrance, £10 I think, then drive round to the Cafe area. If you want to run then I suggest getting there around 9.00am to get signed on.(£15 I think). See above posts for advice etc. There are virtually no Joe publics on RWYB days so loadsa space. If you dont want to run then suit yourself what time you arrive. But remember my newly invented rule.......Last one to arrive buys the coffee!! Nuff Zed ;)
