if you thought the zed cost a few quid when it went wrong, you aint seen nothing yet!

Looks clean, (only nice thing i can say about the ugly Merc)

:slap::slap:...Enough said...:rofl:

Its down to you bud, but personally I wouldnt ditch the zed for that.

It looks a bit old hat now what with all the latest mercs out there. The good thing with the zed is that although it is ancient, it still looks a million dollars, pulls the birds quite easily and it does not come with hub caps ;)

If you fancy a big comfy car, spend under a grand and you can get an almost mint old Jag XJ6 as a 2nd car and keep the zed :smash:

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!

they were nice in their day (IMO) but look well old hat now. can be very pricey to maintain, especially if not well looked after.

90% are real dogs IME. well looked after ones are really hard to come by.

if you really want one, then try to find the 560 version - bit more grunt (nothing like a TT zed tho ;))

No, nuf said. :headvswal just for asking

just told him not interested. suddenly remembered i am not 55 doh

I have had both, and they are not easy to compare.

ongoning costs of the merc will be suprisingly similar, but the fuel economy is a killer with an average of 12mpg (which included some long runs....).

I will say this - only pensioners will stop and stare at the merc - where as everyone stares at Zeds...

If you need any real convincing, the next time you srive your zed - actually look at peoples reactions. You sort of get used to it. I had to give a lift to a mate who couldn't believe how many people were staring, and he drives a Porsche GT3!

Keep the Zed - anyway - zeds are far more fun!

  my zed does 12 to the gallon.

12 beautiful happy smile on face miles though!

Rather than rumpty dumpty old man miles. :wack:

12?????????????

Do you race everything from milk floats to kids on scooters? How heavy is your right foot?

Oh I get it! in these winter months - your feet feel warmer pushed deep into the carpet!!!

speak to jock - he may be able to help with a new chip, fitting is easy once the ecu has been socketed

decisions decisons ??????

IMHO, No!. But then it's up to you bud...

Never really liked Mercs that much and she is going to cost a fortune to maintain.

check your oil for fuel dilution - you may be overfuelling at 12 MPG. and that could degrade oil and reduce lubrication and wreck your engine.
