Guys, last question of the day!

Ok....now my turbs are on 124k now and wanted to decat originally but due to the risk of turb seals going due to the change in back pressure i havent done so.

Anyway....soon i'll be doing the rear boxes and centres and only found out today that there is a secondary cat just behind the drivers seat (so i was told).....do you think if i got that removed but left the primary one in i would still run the risk of the seals goin?

Best just to do the centres/bboxes?

Cheers,

Dan

what year Z do you have?

I think it was only 1994+ which have precats as well as cats.

ahh right....ok i can forget that then ;)

Cheers fella.

1994+ ZXs have a pre-cat which is on the turbo flange I think.

i have a 93 jap spec and the cats on mine are not on the down pipe but are just past the rear of the seats

you will always have the main underfloor cats (unless someones whipped them aff already :D), but there was also 1 precat fitted to some european models & US cars had 2 precats, these are smaller cats fitted directly after the tubs to help emissions during the warm up phase
