I was driving through an area of Cheshire and 1 in 5 cars was a porsche and I am not exagurating.

IMO completely Differnent....those links are a list of cars that have been beaten in Races, and a comparison of performance figures.

I have a 1980 911sc and a 300zx tt (and gto but we wont mention that), the z is definitely quicker than the 911, and I dont think a 944 turbo is quicker than a 911. The gto is n/a so I cant compare. But anyway , the z is not much quicker, just punchier.

Having owned a 944 and a 300zx i would like to say the following.

0-60 a 250bhp 944 is about the same as a 300zx and the zx will edge it past 100.

For cornering and handling the ZX does not match upto the Porsche as its a far better handling car. When i had my porsche i had loads of kids get really excited when i parked it up as it was a porsche, the nissan has a similar effect but no kids know what it actually is.

The interior of a 944 is cramped compared to the inside of a zed. The zed does look better IMHO. A zed has far better low down response due to the 3.0V6 compared to the 2.5 Straight 4.

The Zed sounds better and is newer.

 

Which do i prefer, well if the Porsche sounded like the Zed i would buy a Porsche but it dont and thats why i bought a Zed. Now a 928GTS that a different kettle of fish, power always on Tap mmmmmmmmmmmm
