so many people only seem to find this site when they are selling their cars?

So many peoples first posts are "im selling my beloved ZX"

Well if it was so beloved why did u not join the site when you bought the car to find out more about it LOL.

Yeh, bewilders me how anyone with a Zed AND Internet access could not be a 300zx.co.uk member :headvswal

I dunno there is plenty of newbies around ATM

Any of you who are also members of the Z Club forum will know that this happens over there too. Its not unique to 300ZX co uk.

Its just my personal opinion but I think there are still many car owners out there who sincerely believe that "they are not car club people". I have had it said to me more than once. I dont think its a situation unique to the various z/zx clubs i think its more universal.

Now this brings on the following debate......

Is it the image/public face of car clubs that is to blame??? Or are there just lots of truly shy and timid or anti-social people out there??

if more guys used the sites

they would find out more about the car

and save a fortune on bits and labour

more than likely not want to sell then

TBH I dont know how anyone could possibly own a Zed and be without this site. It'd save peeps thousands of moolah on repairs. It's provided me with an infinite amount of resources in my time here and long live the site!

Attending some of the classic car shows that are held throughout the year, it always amazes me that people say; "Is there a club that caters only for the 300ZX, Riley, Capri, Kit car or whatever"

I would think that most people who join our clubs are firstly interested in their particular choice of car, and then seek to find help and information about their choice. They dont think about joining a club until they can truly realise the benefits a club can bring, both financially, support and Information.

As for the shy and timid section ??

A lot of people would appear to be too embarresed to ask, in case they are ridiculed, or dont understand a technical answer.

Look at the amount of threads that start; "sorry to be a numpty, or excuse my ignorance, etc"

Ask and you will be helped.

This club has got to be one of the best I have come across !

If you need an example, try the Corvette club ??????? No more said !!!

As for the Anti-social ??

Yup, you always get them !!!!

Maybe we should get some flyers made up and stick em under some peoples wipers. there is a guy in Bradley Stoke Bristol with a lovely black Zed which he polishes every week, never seen him on here though.

We could just stick up a PDF for download - then everyone can print it off themselves... no cost to the club. I'd be willing to do it if anyone's got ideas what should go on it - images etc etc.

I would just like to say that i am fairly new to this site and have found it extremely helpful and everyone on here seems very friendly and up for a laugh! Am looking forward to coming to a meet and definitely to one of the jap car shows!

I've always loved the Zed 32 & said for many years I would have one. I started looking on this forum for about three months then had no choice but to go out & get one. The Zed is without doubt the most fun for ya bung ride on the road next to a superbike. The thing that swung it for me though was the helpfullness & comradery of the people on this site, whitout whice you can feel very alone when its all goin tits up. So to conclude my missus wants to thank you all for the state of our bank balance & the fact that I dont look at her anymore since I got me Z.

i recon its cos they know the clubs here and can access teh advice freely. And why would someone want to buy a zed when they have one? unless you want 2 of course

You're right,

It can be hard to ask for help sometimes.

I had to get help with my clutch.

I got a lot of good answers, and was never made to feel a tit .

I have to say though, it was easy for me to ask, cos I used to be a mechanic, so I know that not all cars are the same, and some (specially those as complex as the Zed) are not logical.

It is a great source of help and info, and laughs too.

What is good, is that your standard answers is not "USE THE SEARCH BUTTON"

You cant always find the solution there. (Yes, I know you can though)

The only thing that pi$$es me off, and this place is by no means alone in this, is when people start getting gobby with other people, just cos they are hiding behind a PC screen possibly 100's of miles away.

I always try to go by this..... if you cant say it to someones face, dont say it....

That aside, it's great, as you guys have made it easier for me owning my Zed, and the traders here have saved me ££££££s

Course if we all had our STICKERS, we'd be advertising the club anyway!!!

just my own thoughts

I agree 100%

Just imagine the reaction of a prospective new member when they first log on, maybe to their first ever forum, and they find all hell let loose.

Stickers are a good cheap advert, but their benefit can soon be cancelled out by inapropriate mud slinging when you look up the web site you have seen on a sticker.

Never a truer word !!!

Even if you dont agree with somebodys opinion on a particular matter, you should offer your solution or answer, not lay it down your way as if its the gospel !! ;)

Horses for courses, and all that !!

Alan.
